Janie has 31 years of experience in health, fitness and training clients with 26 of those years teaching yoga, clocking up over 16,000 hours of teaching group classes, over 45,000 hours working with private clients, over 2,800 hours of formal study, more than that of self-study and over 4,000 hours teacher training others!! Her years of study and experience lead her to develop Zen Ki Yoga® which combines Japanese styles of yoga and shiatsu with impeccable attention to anatomy and alignment. She has had many high profile clients including Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, Collette Dinnigan, Marion Hume, Natalie Imbruglia and Charlie Brown and is regularly written about in many magazines, books and website publications and has appeared in 4 episodes of ‘Fresh’ on Channel 9, she was a regular for 2 years on a variety TV show on the WIN Network around Australia and Channel 9. Janie has appeared on the cover of Australian Yoga Journal as well as within the magazine numerous other times. She has also been featured in Vogue, Om Yoga Magazine (London), Aust Yoga Life, Good Health Magazine, Oxygen, InStyle, Marie Claire, Cleo, Loox (Germany). She has written for Aust Yoga Journal, the Sunday Telegraph's Body + Soul, Cleo, Om Yoga Magazine (London) and Yoga Love Magazine (New York).
She has taught yoga at festivals, conferences and expos all over Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK. As a result, Janie has successfully proved Zen Ki Yoga® as a popular new yoga style worldwide.
Janie has been teaching yoga since 1999, personal training since 1994 and even before that, she began building her knowledge of the body with competitive trampolining and springboard diving from the age of 12 where she spent time at diving camps at the Australian Institute of Sport. Janie has been particularly successful with clients with severe back pain, crippling period pain and endometriosis who have become pain free through Janie’s guidance without requiring surgery or medication. She now specialises in Zen Ki Yoga® (for the last 28 years) and ran a yoga studio in Sydney for 13 years and two online yoga studios (now blended into one) as well as popular teacher training programs both in-person and via distant education. Her courses are thorough and her knowledge of the body and how to use it for optimal health have made her a popular teacher, trainer and presenter all over Australia and world-wide.
